R.I.P

This picture goes out to brother Kent. No, he is not dead in the physical sense. Sure he’s “physically” out of shape and perhaps has hit rock bottom in the mountain biking sense, but he is still out there, somewhere, still kicking. We miss him on rides (some of the guys can actually remember what it was like to have him on a bike). There has been chatter about a comeback, perhaps him even winning the Georgia State Championship Series (although second place would be VERY respectable) in 2010. If you see him out there please pay your respects. Man I miss that guy.

I've been riding with brother Kent red dragon butcher since 1989. I have witnessed focus, discipline, boot camp, the comeback, and all the other terms used to describe his attempt at total domination. I think he means it this time. And, if I am right, everybody better watch out. It would be awesome to see him ride off with the "A" group again.
Also worth noting, I do not remember what is like to have him on the rides. No disrespect, but I do not think of him as a cyclist. I can remember the occasional guest celebrity ride that he may have chosen to join. But I cannot remember the last time that I felt the need to let Kent know where the ride was going to be that night. Hope he returns...

Marko has a point. I just thought he had gone the way of his brother, Kevin. In an effort to provide something positive in this comment, I'm positive he's more like Kevin, now, but I'm also positive I want him to be more like Kent, again.

Red Butcher Dragon Camp rides again!!!

Also, worth noting is that I am pretty sure that Ron has been on the same amount of rides with Kent as I have this year. Did that make sense??

ROTFLFMAOACALU! the last four letters stand for "and coughing a lung up". Thanks for the well wishes. Thanks for the calls to action. I'm so back I'm front. I even plan on buying a light unless a spare is floating around. I may have some light parts but need a battery. holla back. Big ups to Jim on the post. Now we need Steve and the Worm to guest blog and we've got a full house. The Dragon is dead.

Looks like I need to drop more lbs and put in more miles. I don't care how long he's been out: I still fear him. Nothing and no one inspired more rides on cold days, when I was tired, in the rain, when I hated my bike, than Kent.
Nothing is sweeter than dropping him and when he kicked my ass, I was on suicide watch until I redeemed myself.
Please for the love of God! Get your massive ass back on a bike. I need the motivation.
